Canyon is a dry community but a couple of restaurants in town have been serving alcohol under a special provision for a few months now. We wanted to know if police have noticed any problems.

 Its estimated over 150,000 children are starving to death in northern Uganda.  Many families have been torn apart due to war, disease, and poverty.  The children are amazingly strong, and resilient.  Sunday, 22 children from Uganda performed for awh struck audiences here in Amarillo.  The African Children's Choir, is currently on 15 month tour across America.  The tour is a fundraiser for the programs school back in Uganda.  "We believe that we need to send the children to school, we have 7,000 children in this program, while on the road we try to find sponsors for them.  We do believe by sending these children to school we'll be investing in the future of Africa", said chaperon Patrick Vita.

 A couple of days ago ProNews7 asked viewers if they would be going out for new year's eve or staying home to ring in the new year.  Results show that 72 percent of those polled will actually stay home.

Recent reports show that the UK's culture secretary, Andy Burnham, wants some type of internet ratings system in place. Burnham is contacting the Obama administration about such a system. Speculation is that the system may be similar to a movie ratings system, allowing parents to block certain sites on their browsers.
